Hummingbird is one of Raleigh's secret little hideaways- a Louisiana-rooted kitchen slinging po'boys and craft cocktails. Their social media, which previously relied on reposts of avocado toasts, needed personal touch: original photography highlighting staff, specials, and food festivals. On top of redirecting their brand perception, Hummingbird was also introducing brunch which meant new hours, new menus, and a new audience.
Hummingbird takes center stage at Dock 1053 on Whitaker Mill Road which used to be an A&P Grocery distribution center. It was later bought by Winn Dixie. Your first step into the restaurant takes place in what used to be a restroom- original green tiles and concrete floors intact. This menu design incorporates a little bit of the kitchy 50's with a subway-tiled diner feel.
