Nanas is a classic neighborhood restaurant reimagined.
The restaurant originally opened in 1992 and was revived in 2023 by legendary chefs Matt Kelly and Nate Garyantes. A few months leading up to the opening, I worked with Sundholm Studio on social media strategy and content design.

As a previously established establishment, reframing Nanas as something new yet familiar meant outlining what previously was with a new story. An ode to the nanas that raised us and the lessons gained from their wooden spoons. Establishing a sophisticated neighborhood joint meant designing content that intentionally mixed high-low (dslr-phone) imagery with a 'friend-that's-a-chef' conversational style (and a very light sprinkle of grandma memes)- All with the goal of bringing locally farmed and sourced ingredients to the forefront.
